Institute of Quantum Science,Nihon University

The Institute of Quantum Science was founded in 1957 as the Atomic Energy Research Institute to realize nuclear fusion as a source of power. The main areas of our studies are parametric X-rays and free electron lasers from an electron linear accelerator for medical or biological applications, quantum optics, atomic quantum physics, and nano-sized electronics for development of the next-generation information technologies, theory of elemental particles, and computational simulations.
