Overview

To help lighten the financial burden on foreign students and improve the level of learning, thirty or more scholarships are awarded from scholarship organizations. Students who meet the scholarship requirements are welcome to apply. Various kinds of scholarships are available from both public and private organizations, and the maximum monthly allowance is 180,000 yen. For details, contact the Student Affairs Section of CST.

The Japanese Government also offers scholarships to foreign students through the Ministry of Education. For details and the relevant application forms, contact the nearest Japanese Embassy or the Japanese Consulate.

Tuition Assistance

There is a tuition assistance program offering 30% reduction for foreign students in the Graduate School of Science and Technology who are studying at their own expense. To check your eligibility, Please contact the Student Affairs Section of CST.

 

Teaching Assistant System

Graduate students including foreign students, with outstanding academic achievements have the opportunity to work as teaching assistants. A teaching stipend is provided, and the experience gained prepares graduate students for future teaching and research, as well as enables more individualized instruction in various undergraduate departments.
